What happens in an lesson?
Although the Technique is a hundred years old, it's still defiantly low-tech: a chair, a table, some paperback books and maybe a mirror - they're the basic tools. You'll be sitting and standing, walking and lying down. These are very basic movements, but they are often done unconsciously. Your Alexander Teacher will be encouraging a more mindful approach to even the most mindane acts. As your skill grows, you will find yourself able to respond rather than react moment-by-moment to life's situations.
