Jane Refshauge

Jane Refshauge has a background in the performing arts and psychology. She has studied, performed and taught dance and movement disciplines, that have developed from the premise that the body is a “psycho-physical unity”, working within professional dance studios, tertiary and secondary educational institutions, and psychiatric hospital settings.  She currently works in private practice as an Alexander Technique teacher and Counselling Psychologist utilising both dance movement therapy and movement re-integration modalities.  She completed her Alexander Technique training with John and Carolyn Nicholls at MATTS in 1989, her Dance Movement Therapy training with IDTIA in 1996 and Masters degree in Psychoanalytic Studies in 2010 with the School of Psychology and Psychiatry, Monash University.
