In 1983 I qualified from the three years full-time Alexander Technique training course based in London.
Since settling in Adelaide in 1984, I have taught private lessons to individuals on a weekly basis or as required.
I also offer group workshops, introductory talks on the Technique and seminars that can be tailored to the specific needs of workplaces and performance groups. I have worked with actors, singers, horse riders, athletes, yoga students, martial artists and musicians.
I teach two introductory sessions at the WEA during the year.
I am happy to offer anyone who has had no Alexander Technique experience an obligation-free, no cost introductory lesson. "Come and Try” gives participants an opportunity to experience some basic Alexander Technique work and gather more information before deciding to follow up with a course of lessons.
See my website: www.chrisraff.com.au for more details on Alexander Technique and Tai Chi courses.
Private Lessons
The 1:1 lesson is the traditional way of learning the Alexander Technique. A course of 10 to 20 lessons is recommended. It takes time and practice to change habits that diminish one's freedom in movement, postural ease and full and natural breathing and the quality of your performance of everyday and specialized activities.
Currently I am working Tuesdays and Wednesdays in Adelaide. Lessons in Middleton and Aldinga area can be arranged by appointment.
Address in Adelaide: 5/11 Erskine St., Goodwood. (Hyde Pk. Area)
