I spent the first 20 years of my career in financial management and IT systems in the UK and Australia, with a ‘detour’ to teach English in Japan. More recently, since 2000, I trained and worked in health management and education, as an audiologist, an Alexander Technique teacher (2006) and a Feldenkrais Method® Practitioner (2018).
I came to learn the Alexander Technique in my mid-40s, in order to find easier, pain-free ways of living with a permanent spinal cord injury. The Technique's unique methods gave me great benefits in learning pain-free ways of moving and being.
I enjoy helping people of any age find easier and lighter ways of being and functioning, whether to help with work, hobbies and interests, rehabilitation from illness or injury, or simply with the general stresses of life. My main hobby is music, learning to play the saxophone.
Since 2017, I have been based on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, Victoria, and welcome anyone living in the area to contact me for a lesson in the Alexander Technique. You will probably enjoy it!
