Bio

I have been teaching the technique since graduating from the first Australian training school in 1985. I am the director of the School for F.M. Alexander Studies, a training school for Alexander technique teachers which I established in 1998. The school offers a three year professional training course. I also run a private practice from the school. I offer private lessons and a range of group classes which are listed on my web-site.

Prior to training as an Alexander teacher I undertook study in yoga and meditation in India and Thailand over 7 years and I run regular classes at the school applying the Alexander technique to yoga practice.  I have published a book on the application of the Alexander technique to yoga – Smart Yoga.

I travel widely within Australia and overseas offering classes, workshops and retreats in the Alexander technique. These include an annual residential course in Healesville, Victoria and a week-long retreat in Assisi, Italy

I also offers private lessons and group classes in the application of the technique to the voice. I have considerable experience in working with people with neurological disorders including stroke, Parkinson’s disease and multiple sclerosis. And in my years of practice I have had experience in working with a very wide range of pain and medical conditions as well as working with those who wish to improve their overall functioning.
